great lessons with the Z
1: furnace still = surface of sun = not *as* afraid anymore (ok, not afraid any more)
2: must make more even gathers = faster, more even turns in the pot
3: remember to cap the pipe before putting it in water, i must
4: Tiffany Zink is an AMAZING instructor
5: i'll on a fast track to making cups
6: ashley made her first marble today!
7: i'll be getting more hard color and some frit on tuesday
8: i can't wait until GAS!!!

Lesson 1
so i had my first furnace glass experience today.
fact 1: furnace = surface of the sun = make your gathers quickly because the slower you go the hotter your pipe/punty gets = possible burned left palm
fact 2: steel = poor heat conductor/still gets really hot really fast
fact 3: apparently i listen well
fact 4: i make good jack lines (so i'm told)
fact 5: if you pull the pipe/punty toward/away from you, while marvering, the glass will travel in the opposite direction
fact 6: they've created a monster
fact 7: next lesson, color
fact 8: using a block is harder than it looks
practice, practice, practice... pics of the paperweights tomorrow, or soon anyway
